Houses and clans have 2 different types of points they may spend.
the first is based on experience. These points will be awarded weekly based on how house members performed overall.
Experience points can go towards purchasing armory, smithy, temple, alter, or lock points. These points are things that can be spent in item creation later (except locks). Points in any of these things may fluxuate madly. (Locks can be broken too)
The second type of points a clan has is based on size.
You get 100 of these points per member of your clan. You may spend them on *slots* for mages, guards, and traps. These slots still need to be filled, they are just the maximum the house is allowed to have.
For example, if you have 30 points in traps, your house can have a total of 30 points of traps placed on it by players with the "place trap" skill. A player can place as many points in traps as they have skill points, and the traps do that much damage when they are sprung. Mages and guards need to be hired as NPCs if the original ones are ever killed.
